HSBC UK announces Commercial Banking leadership change

HSBC UK today announces that Stuart Tait has been appointed Head of Commercial Banking, subject to regulatory approval, effective 1 December.


Stuart has been HSBC’s Head of Commercial Banking, Asia Pacific, since 2016, and prior to that held the role of Global Head of Global Trade and Receivables Finance.

Stuart joined HSBC in 1984 and has held various positions within Commercial Banking, Global Banking and Markets, Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Risk and HR. His 37-year career within the financial services sector spans across multiple markets including Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.

Amanda Murphy, currently Head of Commercial Banking, HSBC UK, will become Head of Commercial Banking, South and Southeast Asia.
