HSBC UK customers able to save hundreds of pounds at Home And Away beyond Black Friday and lockdown into Christmas

HSBC UK has launched ‘Home And Away’, a selection of discounts and offers which could provide credit and debit card holders with savings worth hundreds of pounds of a year, the bank announced today.

The discounts, which are available to customers across its range of current accounts and credit cards are accessed online through the site and available to use with online purchases as well as those made in person across different providers, including many household names across travel, dining, experiences, shopping, wellbeing and education.

With a combination of online purchases as well as some in person purchases, customers will be able to continue to make savings whichever Tier they are placed in when the latest restrictions end on 2nd December. The number and breadth of offers will increase significantly over coming weeks including a range of 2-4-1 meal deals which can be used for dine in and takeaway food.

Current online offers include:

  • Up to 20% off home movies with CHILI, one of Europe’s largest ‘pay as you go’ streaming services;
  • 10% off at Costa Coffee;
  • 10% off a Not On The High Street e-gift card;
  • 10% off Fortnum & Mason hamper orders via Fortnum’s Concierge;
  • 10% off at Roses Only;
  • 7% off at ASOS and Boohoo (available from next week).

Other offers which could be utilised in areas where local regulations and availability allows, which gives a flavour of the offers that might be available when normality resumes, include:

  • Up to 40% off cinema tickets;
  • Huge savings on tourist visitor attractions like 30% off the cost of entrance to Kew Gardens, a private day tour to Stone Henge and Glastonbury, and a walking tour of Hampton Court Palace with guide;
  • 30% off tickets for well known West End theatre productions; and
  • Travel discounts including 15% on car hire, 10% cashback on Booking.com and 8% discount on hotels.com.

Fiona Anderson, HSBC UK’s Head of Everyday Banking, explained: “Everyone loves a bargain, even more so during difficult times. Not only does it give us a feeling of getting more for our money, it could also give people a boost to know they are doing everything possible to make every penny count.

“Our Home And Away website can give people just that, whether that are using the online savings or able to get to use them in person now or in the future.

“When normality returns, this could see customers save money with a night at the cinema or theatre being almost one third cheaper, or getting a chunk or money off a hotel stay and care hire. These savings could add up to hundreds of pounds over the course of a year.”

In order to receive the discount, card holders need to input certain card details into the offer on the Home And Away site and pay with that card, using a discount code provided.
