HSBC UK provides update on branch network plans

Following the announcement of HSBC UK’s plans for its branch network in 2023, the bank can now provide an update on some of the closure dates for branches where dates have changed.

Oakham – Original closure date set for 20th June. Following a review by LINK which recommended a Banking Hub be established in Oakham, the branch closure has been paused until the Banking Hub is in place.

Ripley – originally set to close on 25th July, now timing for closure is ‘date TBC’ while a deposit solution is put in place.

Colwyn Bay – originally set to close on 15th August, now timing for closure is ‘date TBC’ while a deposit solution is put in place.

Tenby, Cowbridge and Oxted were originally designated as ‘date TBC’ and remain with that status while deposit solutions are put in place.

Settle, Epworth, Hythe and Holsworthy have moved from ‘date TBC’ to having a confirmed closure date of 5th September 2023, as there was either no recommended action, or the suggested solution will be in place.
